We had Seven (7) Raizals running for governor less than three (3) months ago, of which at least four(4) proclaimed to be different; proclaiming to be an alternative to the corruption in public administration. We have several prominent Raizal leading organizations related to the Raizal struggle.
The very first administrative act of Governor Nicolas is one of corruption, assigning more than half of his cabinet to Colombian foreigners who don’t know how to speak English. And what?
How many of these are people are Raizal and how many know to speak English? If there are Raizals by name that don’t speak English they should not have the job. Los empleados Públicos que ejerzan sus funciones dentro del territorio del Departamento Archipiélago y tengan relación directa con el público, deberán hablar los idiomas castellano e inglés.
AND WHAT? JUST THAT! You heard nothing from the former candidates who less than ninety days ago were swearing to you that they would fight and stop the corruption, or from the civic and religious leaders, BUT!!! eleven days later, you hear nothing out of their mouths. Nothing! Why? Because they are tricky. They don’t want to “offend” anyone who could possibly vote for them on the next occasion. That’s pure and undefiled poli-tricks. They are poli-trickans and any excuse that springs out of their mouths is sheer pure and undefiled poli-shit.
PEOPLE OF KATHLEENA, PROVIDENCE & SAN ANDRES, those who want to “defend your rights” and secure justice for you, must be available to defend you at all times, not just when an election is near. These people are liars; they are false; they are using the same strategies applied by the corrupt, BUT!!! telling you that they are different. No, they are not! They must be your advocate when you are in danger. Ask your political, civic, and religious leaders what they have to say about the rottenness that is going on in the administrations, starting the 1st day.
ASK YOUR LEADERS what they think about foreigners violating the ILO 169 convention agreement. Ask your leaders what they think about the alleged incompatibility of the father of a deputy handling public resources in Providence & Kathleena (as municipal treasurer), which his son must approve in the assembly. Ask your leaders what they think about the Municipal treasurer being clinched to the job for over 16 years. Ask your leaders who is the new general secretary in Providence and her relationship with the mayor. Some things are not illegal, BUT!!! They are immoral.
I HOPE THEY PROVE ME WRONG, BUT!!! You will not hear the former candidates (except but one), saying one word about the corruption in this administration, until the time comes for them to run again. And they will only talk about what they plan to do, BUT!!! They will never attack the present administration’s rottenness, because, that’s exactly what they would do if they got the job. They will not talk about it publicly, nor will they denounce it to the authorities because their interest in getting the job is above their desire to serve the people.

As we celebrate the arrival of a new year, we are also inaugurating the governing body of the Archipelago, consisting of one governor, one mayor, and their cabinet; eleven deputies and seven council members.
What do you feel by looking at the above diagram? Do you feel angry, frustrated, deceived, impotent, betrayed, guilty, excluded, invaded, or just cool?
IS ANYONE ELSE AMONG THE RAIZAL LEADERS CONCERNED ABOUT the amount of foreigners elevated to power in the Raizal Territory? I am deeply concerned about this matter, but very few, if any, are willing to address the situation.
Note the number of foreigners elected as deputies. That is against the law in tribal territory, but we the Raizal People cannot agree to demand our rights. We are talking about unity around socio-political affairs, which is almost impossible for any society. What we need is an agreement on what to do to survive the avalanche of segregation, if there is still an instinct of conservation among us.
How long will it take before there is no Raizal name on the list of elected deputies? How long will it take for Raizal leaders to open our eyes?
Pay close attention to the diagrams and reflect on the possibilities for the Raizal People to be well served during the coming four years?
How many of these people have shown any interest in solving the problems of the Raizal People during any period of their lives? Which of the elected deputies have presented projects to solve the overpopulation issue? When was the last time you heard the deputies or governor addressing the problem of overpopulation publicly or privately?
WHAT DO YOU THINK? Will the entering government bring betterment? Will they establish a different model of corruption? Will they continue the actual model of corruption?
REVIVAL, RECONCILIATION & VINDICATION. A call for a Raizal leaders encounter is good, is needed, is urgent, and is appropriate at the turning point of events in the islands and the Raizal society. It is wise to do so, but it is wiser to be wise and plan the encounter thoroughly. If there is going to be a success, there must be wisdom in planning the encounter, and if there is good planning there will be success. Just calling a meeting might not produce any advancement in benefit of the Raizal People, because a meeting is just a meeting and we have held many without any positive results.
The fear of God was key to the success of the governing body and the business people. When things were flourishing, when it was paradise, it was a theocracy. It was God first for the church; god first for the politicians; and God first for the merchants.
Today, the church is succumbing to the liberal progressive heretic worldview; the Hispanic corrupt socioeconomic system seduces the politicians; and the Colombian colonizing strategy has long ago suffocated the merchants.
The church is in desperate need of a revival, first of the leaders; the leaders are in desperate need of reconciliation, including everybody; and the society is in desperate need of vindication.
To get a productive forum going there must be a timeline for creating an agenda, which should be no less than six and no longer than nine months. Once we have an agenda on the table, we can start navigating back to a prosperous society. Plan your work and work your plan.
It is imperative though, that we understand that we first need to be reconciled with one another before we will be able to work together.
REGRESSION IS A MUST. We have to look back and go back! Not to roast fish, kerosene lantern, kerosene refrigerator, bottle light, flour sock pants, pack saddle, cotton line, and pin hook. Almost every society in the Caribbean Sea has gone through this era, but almost everyone has kept the culture. The essence of a culture is to perpetuate a modus vivendi.
We must go back to our language. We need to stop the idiocy of believing that we can recover our culture without recovering our language first. We need to stop following so-called leaders who fail to speak in English. If we follow idiots, our only hope is to become idiots.
Every raizal that follows those so-called leaders that are talking and writing in Spanish, is drifting further and further into the stormy gulf of nothingness, and heading to the bottomless pit of disappearance. They are misleading you because the Spanish language is the MAJOR CAUSE of our cultural deficit. If they cannot understand that, they do not possess enough knowledge to lead you out of this sure-death situation.
CHALLENGE, ORDEAL, AND YOUNG LEADERSHIP. The younger Raizals aspiring to lead processes have to stop talking about integration with outsiders. It is ridiculous and it is treason; it is a shameful posture; it is helping the colonizer by opening the road for total annihilation of oneself. It is a suicidal idea. It is natural to be young and lacking knowledge, but if you don’t know that you are young and lacking knowledge you will die and never grow up. Universities don’t teach about the existing conflict in the islands; universities don’t teach how to love your people; universities don’t teach how to fight against neo-colonialism.
If you are looking for a government job; if you are looking to become rich; if you are looking to become Mr. or Ms. Popular; if you have thin skin; if you are afraid of being lied upon; if you are easily discouraged by criticism, don’t aspire to lead a vindication process. If you can’t take hits, don’t play with stick! You cannot lead the raizal liberation process with what you learned at the university.
FIRST GET YOURSELF INFORMED, INFORMATION IS INTELLIGENCE. If you are ready to put in what it takes, then go around and acquire knowledge about the process, from the older fighters. Talk to those that are retired and to those that are still going along. The Raizal situation is more about a fight than it is about leadership. It’s a fight for the survival of a People viciously attacked by the colonizing State of Colombia which is one million times more powerful than us in all aspects.
If you are ready to put in what it takes, then read lots of documents and articles related to the struggle; submerse yourself into the history of the struggle; acquire first-hand knowledge and be prepared for the tests; shield yourself well before you get on the battlefield. If you are ready to put what it takes, love other leaders with all your heart and with all their mistakes, their strength, and their weaknesses. Confront and educate your people who are going through the wrong road. Lots of our people, including some of the so-called leaders are profoundly brainwashed, and some are sold out. Make sure you are not one of the latter. Your strongest battles are going to be against those you are fighting for. The majority of those misleading us are themselves victims of being misled. Mandela said: “the road is rocky, but we must go!”
We are dangerously underestimating the need for speaking in English, and we fail to recognize the unthinkable havoc that speaking in Spanish has caused to our society and the role the foreign language has played in the loss of our cultural values.
I am ready to debate anyone who feels like refuting the above affirmations. Just say how, where, and when. We need to stop helping the colonizer! We need to decolonize!

I invite those calling themselves Christian but are saying “happy holidays”, instead of Merry Christmas to find out who is promoting the phrase and why they are promoting the greetings in that form. At the same time, they should find out why they, being Christians are using the phrase?
There is the secular so-called progressist side who say that they don’t believe in God, with some pretending to have a non-triune god. Some “religious” groups say “Jesus is or was a simple prophet” without any deity.
Some religious groups say that Jesus is in effect God, but He was not born on the 25th of December so they do not commemorate His birth. Still, they don’t commemorate the day that He was born, even though they are supposed to know the exact date, and probably the exact time and weather conditions. if they can affirm that it was not on this date, then they know the exact date
Others say that it is a pagan holiday. Is the day a pagan day? Is it even possible that any day be pagan? I know that every day of the week, there are pagan reunions all over the place. But likewise, on every day of the week, there is Christian worship all over the place. I have seen churches congregated and worshiping in temples located 50 yards away from facilities where pagan parties are taking place simultaneously.
Yet, I have seen churches congregating and worshiping at facilities where pagan parties were held hours before. What makes an event pagan or holy is not the day or the facility, but the people’s heart. “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also,” (Matthew 6:21)
So, what is wrong with commemorating Jesus’ birth on the 25th of December? Have any of those denying the date of birth come up with the “right” date? Do they commemorate that day? How many people you know keep up their birthday a week or two after? What matters in commemorating the birth, the birth date, or the one who is celebrated?
I therefore invite all Christians who believe and know that Jesus is the Son of God to stand bold and speak out loud when commemorating His birth and not be bullied by unbelievers. `Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me. John 14:6.
The local Administration of Justice Tribune admitted a case against the elected Mayor of Providence & Kathleena, Alex Ramirez Nuza, who received credentials from the Electoral authorities in November. Ramirez was sued by his former contender, Evis Livingston Howard, alleging that he violated electoral regulations contained in article 275 of the Law 1437 created in 2011, and article 2 of the Law 1475 created in 2011.
Alex Ramirez Nuza, elected mayor of Providence & Kathleena for four years beginning on January 1st of 2024, allegedly violated electoral laws, according to his sole contender Evis Livingston Howard.
Livingston hired a high-profile Colombian lawyer, Dr. Carlos Alfaro Fonseca, who is demanding that the Tribune revoke the credential given to Mr. Ramirez and hand it over to the plaintiff. According to the content of the demand, the defendant supposedly violated his political party rules which prohibit a candidate from supporting other aspirants of a different party. In this case, the defendant is accused of publicly supporting one candidate to the Council and another to the assembly not belonging to the Liberal Party, which endorsed Mr. Ramirez’s candidacy for mayor.
Evis Livingston Howard, who lost the 2023 race for mayor has sued Alex Ramirez Nuza for allegedly violating electoral laws, by supporting candidates not belonging to the party he’s enrolled in.
We publish the essentials of the demand and initial allegations of the plaintiff. We are only able to reproduce and inform that there is a demand because that is what there is at this moment. Here are some bits and pieces of the allegation.

DOS ACTOS VERGONZOSOS que no tienen nombre promovidos por la representante a la cámara Elizabeth Jaypang? Díaz durante el pasado debate electoral dejan poco que desear, pero mucho que pensar acerca del abandono total a los Raizales en las fauces del sistema colonialista que ejerce el Estado colombiano en el Archipiélago. Fría, calculadora y desalmada como todo colonialista. Cualquier adjetivo queda corto para calificar la gravedad del comportamiento de la Señora Elizabeth, quien demuestra claramente que es capaz de vender todo un pueblo por un voto. Claro, tampoco podemos esperar mucho ya que no es su pueblo, ni es su gente. Para desgracia de los Raizales hay dos extranjeros en Bogotá representando a cerca de 100 mil extranjeros residenciados en el Archipiélago, pero los dueños de casa no tienen quien los represente.
Repugnante, increíblemente repugnante el intento de la representante Elizabeth por conseguir que las personas que no poseen tarjeta de la OCCRE pudieran votar en las elecciones de octubre del 2023. Cuando una persona con la investidura de representante incita a las autoridades a quebrantar reglas establecidas para legalizar centenares de colombianos, con la única intensión de ganarse unos votos como lo hizo la Señora Elizabeth, empaca y vámonos. ¡Esto se puteó de verdad! Los miles de colombianos hacinados ilegalmente en el Territorio Raizal se han ganado todas las loterías con estas elecciones. Tienen los dos representantes y al gobernador electo presionando a la OCCRE y a otras instituciones para legalizarlos.
Unos funcionarios que deberían estar en el congreso presentando proyectos para reducir la población, pero al contrario, están en las islas defendiendo ilegales y buscando la manera de aumentar la población.

UNA MALICIOSA INTERVENCIÓN EN PROVIDENCE & KATHLEENA consttituye la segunda bajeza sin nombre de la representante Elizabeth al boicotear a los concejales y aspirantes liberales a concejo de Providence & Kathleena, porque resolvieron seguir en campaña con la candidata Evis Livingston y no con el Señor Alex Ramírez. Jonnathan Archbold, actual concejal y presidente del Partido Liberal en el municipio; Elsa Robinson, actual concejal y primer vicepresidente del concejo; Trinidad Alcázar y Hushman García quedaron por fuera del escenario político por decisión de una foránea.
Elsa Robinson Hawkins, residente del sector de Black San Bay, una acusiopsa líder política, ciudadana ejemplar, actual vicepresidente del concejo y vicepresidente del Partido liberal en P&K, una de las degolladas de la lista liberal. Nos dijo en una conversación telefónica que no ha recibido ninguna comunicación del Partido Liberal, pero, tampoco sabe el paradero de los documentos de insctipción que diligenciaron los cuatro candidatos liberales al concejo.
La representante Elizabeth movió su influencia en Bogotá para cortarle las alas a estos cuatro personajes ampliamente reconocidos por su servicio a la comunidad de P&K, removiéndolos de la lista de inscritos después de que ya habían completado su diligencia de inscripción y los pagos correspondientes. Fue un golpe bajo ideado por la mente macabra de la representante Elizabeth, quien se cree la todopoderosa, por el momento, pero pronto tendrá que cosechar las tempestades que producirán los vientos que está sembrando. “A veces la cosecha tarda, pero llega”, me enseñó el Doctor Mario Miranda.
Jonnathan Archbold, empresario de P&K, del sector de Nelly Downs, actual concejal y presidente del Partido Liberal en el municipio, es otro de los degollados por la representante Elizabeth, viendo así truncada su carrera política.
Esta actitud tortuosa de la representante Elizabeth no solo dejó por fuera a dos líderes liberales importantes, sino que permitió que una extranjera llegara a ocupar un asiento en el concejo de P&K. Asiento, que le pertenece a un Raizal. No tomemos este hecho con ligereza. No olviden que acabamos de promover a seis o siete extranjeros a la Asamblea Departamental hace un mes y eso lo vamos a pagar caro. La estúpida actitud de la representante también trajo graves consecuencias para el Partido Liberal, toda vez que perdieron una de las dos curules que tenía en el concejo. Empero, como en realidad no es su tierra, no es su gente y no es su partido, a ella solo le importa satisfacer sus intereses personales.
Hushman García, del sector de Bottom House, uno de los grandes lanzadores del béisbol isleño de todos los tiempos, liberal empedernido, que militaba el Partido Liberal cuando la representante Elizabeth aun andaba en pañales, es el tercero de los boicotados.
Mi posición frente a estos hechos es que tanto la representante Elizabeth como el gobernador electo, Nicolás Gallardo son PERSONAS NON GRATA en el Archipiélago por demandar derecho a voto para foráneos ilegales, conociendo la caótica situación demográfica que atraviesa el Archipiélago a causa de la sobrepoblación. Igual para mi, la representante Elizabeth es PERSONA NON GRATA en el municipio de Providence & Kathleena, por haber confabulado junto con otros personajes siniestros, contra los aspirantes al concejo por el Partido Liberal en el municipio.
Trinidad Alcázar, lider cívica del sector de Bottom House, ciudadana que se destaca por su servicio a la comunidad, fue la cuarta persona en la lista liberal que desapareció por arte de magia-Beth.
Es cierto que la representante Elizabeth está bañada en dinero y está investida de poder político, pero esa suciedad que ella hizo con estas cuatro personas en P&K, no le alcanzará todo el dinero ni todo el poder político del mundo a la hora de pagar, porque eso no se hace, por más desesperado que uno esté. Aquí cabe lo que dice la canción de La Sonora Matancera de los años 70 “Mala Mujer”, que canta Jorge Maldonado y dice: “Pensaba que me querías, y tú nunca fuiste buena; las cosas que me decía, sabiendo que me engañaba. Mala mujer no tiene corazón. Mala mujer no tiene corazón”.
Personas así hacen de la política un asco. Pero, qué impotencia y qué rabia, y la gente que no despierta… Time will tell!
DESPUÉS DEL GUSTO… EL SUSTO. Eso de “ganar” por un margen tan amplio puede sonar bonito y se goza rico al principio, pero cuando todos empiezan exigir sus “derechos” y cuando los que la sudaron empiezan a pedir puestos y los gamonales empiezan exigir contratos ya va a ser otra cosa. Esos votos no salieron por la cara bonita del Gobernador electo. Esos votos fueron producto de grandes coaliciones, trabajo arduo y desafortunadamente miles de millones de pesos. Pero, un renglón importante de la filosofía política de la Casa Gallardo es que “nosotros no compartimos el gobierno cuando ganamos”. Palabras textuales. ¿Habrá un cambio de filosofía al respecto?
Alcalde de Providence & Kathleena, Alex Ramírez Nuza y Gobernador del Archipiélago (alcalde de San Andres), Nicolás Gallardo Vásquez para el período del 1ro de enero del 2024 al 31 de diciembre del 2027.
Bueno, puede ser que decidan participar a los partidos, movimientos y grupos que hicieron posible el triunfo. ¿Quién quita? Si lo hacen, ¿De qué tamaño sería la tajada que le quedaría al gobernador cuando terminan de satisfacer la gula de todos los actores que se creen con derecho? ¿Migajas tal vez? Yo supongo que la primera llamada que hizo el Señor Nicolás fue a su tío Julio Eugenio. Porque para navegar el maremágnum de expectativas y exigencias va a necesitar de la experiencia y destreza política del exrepresentante a la cámara. Si no lo ha hecho aun, lo va a hacer aunque sea cuando ya es tarde.
En su primera intervención agradeció a la representante Elizabeth JayPang Díaz, pero no mencionó al representante Jorge Méndez. ¿Por qué o para qué será que agradeció al Señor Norbert Vomblon? Eso podría estar confirmando lo que yo dije antes y mantengo ahora, que al Señor Méndez le llegó su hora. No le van a dar nada, y si le ofrecen será migajas que él muy seguramente no querrá aceptar. Eso probablemente sea el primer grave error del gobernador electo, pero puede ocurrir. Los dos representantes apoyaron al gobernador electo, pero él no va a apoyar a los dos representantes en el 2026 y muy probablemente no apoye a ninguno. Yo sigo apostando que el candidato de la Casa Gallardo para Cámara será Carlo Domingo Gallardo.
La entrada norte del Coral Palace, sede del gobierno depatramental donde el Sr. Nicolás Gallardo debe pasar sus próximos cuatro años.
COMPROMISOS POR DOQUIER. Esta contundente victoria está impregnada con olor a peligro que fácilmente puede terminar en falta de gobernabilidad. Hay demasiados eventos que no favorecen al Señor Nicolás. La inexperiencia estaría encabezando la lista de hándicap; la inusitada cantidad de gamonales que estarán exigiendo burocracia; el stress económico por los gastos y/o “inversión” en dos campañas (2019 y 2023) y que debe recuperar con creces; la pelea con el único miembro de la familia que lo podría asesorar; la primera dama muy pero muy probablemente va a ser contraproducente; el tira y jale que habrá entre los dos representantes exigiendo burocracia; el interés de la Casa Gallardo por volver al congreso; y un largo etcétera
¿Qué tan importante fue la contribución de Norman Pusey? ¡Muy importante! Estoy 99.9% seguro que una inmensa cantidad de electores votaron por el Señor Nicolás porque las denuncias de Pusey tuvieron efecto sobre ellos. En sus publicaciones, Norman siempre fue al grano y llamó nombres completos y mencionó eventos concretos. El candidato Pacheco, su esposa y el gobernador llevaron leña, fuego, sopa y seco. Por otra parte, 20 mil votos suena bonito y melodioso al oído del Señor Nicolás y su séquito al principio, pero a la hora de compensar esos votos, convirtiéndolos en puestos fijos, contratación de servicios y nómina paralela, 20 mil se va a convertir en una bulliciosa cacofonía y una pesadilla de cuatro años para el Gobernador electo.
Los dos Representantes a la Cámara por las islas, de los cuáles ninguno es Raizal y les importa poco los habitantes de las islas apoyaron al gobernador electo Gallardo y van a ir por una buena tajada. ¿Conseguirán los dos lo que aspiran? ¿Conseguirá uno de ellos? ¿Será que ninguno conseguirá? Debo confesar que esta vez sí alquilé balcón para ver ese desenlace.
MEJOR HABLEMOS DESPUÉS DEL 1ro DE ENERO. Tanto el Gobernador como el alcalde están hablando bonito y prometiendo que van a cumplir esto y lo otro ahora. Tienen derecho a disfrutar de su cuarto de hora, porque a partir del 1ro de enero próximo su léxico va a cambiar. Lo que más van repetir será: “la culpa es del anterior gobierno”. Se va a necesitar de varios bulldozers para abrir camino cuando el gobernador quiera acceder el Coral Palace. La prole alrededor del edificio va a ser impresionante. No se olviden que ellos intentaron poner a votar a personas sin OCCRE.
DERROTA HISTÓRICA. Osado, descarado, glotón y perverso. Así se comportó el gobernador Everth Hawkins Sjogreen al seleccionar a su primo hermano Germán Pacheco Hawkins como candidato. Fue un insulto a la inteligencia del pueblo y allí están los resultados. Nepotismo sin escrúpulo. Eso les funcionó cuando en contra de la legislación él (el gobernador) fue designado Secretario de Hacienda en el Coral Palace mientras que su padre, el Señor Félix Hawkins Manuel, oficiaba de Procurador del Archipiélago en clara violación de la Ley 1148 de 2007 de inhabilidades e incompatibilidades.
En realidad se puede concluir que hubo votación unánime para vergüenza del Gobernador Hawkins. Se me hace que Hawkins podría exigir su parte en el gobierno del señor Nicolás, por haber contribuido a su sonado triunfo, registrándose como el peor gobernante en la historia del Archipiélago y tal vez del mundo.
El gobernador Everth Hawkins escogió un candidato tan malo como su administración. La candidata a la alcaldía de Providence & Kathleena Evis Livingston estaba adelante en todas las encuestas, pero su vinculación a la campaña de Germán Pacheco sentenció su derrota indiscutible.
PROVIDENCE & KATHLEENA TAL CUAL. El fenómeno Nicolás catapultó al candidato del gobierno en Providence & Kathleena Alex Ramírez. Decir que las cosas se van a mejorar en el municipio sería faltar a la verdad. Falta de conocimiento no puede ser, porque todo está la vista. El alcalde electo no está incluido dentro de los corporativos que manejarán el presupuesto municipal. Si recordamos que las marionetas no hablan ni se mueven por voluntad propia tendremos que aceptar que esa campaña fue financiada por peces gordos a quienes les importa muy poco la administración pública o el bienestar de la sociedad. Ellos van detrás del dinero, y no dejarán nada para el pueblo.
Tienen más de 20 mil cómplices en SAI y más de 2 mil en P&K. Ellos supuestamente gastaron o “invirtieron” unos 20 mil millones de pesos (5 millones de dólares) en dos campañas. Ahora, durante los próximos cuatro años tendrán cerca de 3 billones de pesos (750 millones de dólares) para “administrar” a su libre albedrío. Eso equivale a 150 veces más de lo que supuestamente “invirtieron”.
El saqueo será total, así como se viene haciendo por tres décadas. Eso ocurrirá porque los votantes tampoco están interesados en su propio bienestar. Quienes siguen haciendo lo mismo no están esperando resultados distintos. Las islas volvieron a votar por el sistema corrupto que se volvió cultura. La élite corrupta que va a saquear el presupuesto de las islas no tiene nada que temer, pese a que se pueden contar en una mano y sobran dedos.
Ya el pueblo recibió lo que le corresponde para el próximo cuatrienio. Una bolsa de cemento, un listón de madera, un tiquete aéreo, un trago de aguardiente, una cerveza aguilita, un plato de rondón, una vuelta en carro, un saludo (mientras están en campaña), o un billete el día de elecciones. ¡Qué asco todo esto!
We often hear Islanders saying that pastors and religious leaders should not participate in politics; some even say that they will never vote for a pastor; some say that they don’t go to church because the pastors are so wicked; some say that all pastors only care about money.
As for me, those saying these things are only expressing their own nature of reluctance to turn away from the evil of self-inflicted misery. Like other leaders, pastors are subject to criticism, BUT to compare pastors’ behavior with drug traffickers and public revenue plunderers is way out of the question. We must remember that some are called pastors but they are really not. In the case of Providence & Kathleena, in the near past election (29/10/23) both candidates were clearly sponsored by individuals known for these illicit activities. BUT still, blank votes only registered under 1 percent. That tells me the voters willingly vote massively for corrupt campaigns, considering that 99 percent of people in P&K know who is doing what.
I don’t buy all the crap talks, that “all the pastors care about is money,” since I don’t see pastors going around and selling drugs to our people and destroying our society; I don’t see pastors going out on trips and taking tons of drugs to other countries destroying millions of homes; I don’t see any of our pastors getting rotten rich overnight, neither from trafficking with drugs nor by getting multimillion contracts from the Government; and I don’t see pastors going around paying people to vote before or on election day. However, I do see people who are doing these horrendous things deeply involved in politics, and yet 99 percent of those condemning the pastors vote for the criminals and/or for candidates they promote and sponsor.
Honestly, I think voters are intrinsically afraid that pastors might go there and do what is right and end the evil corruption. Politicians don’t want corruption to end, but even if they wanted they could not put an end to it without the voters. They would need to pursue a concession with the voters not to demand bribes for their vote because politicians cannot elect themselves. Only the voters have the power, yes the absolute and autonomous power to wipe out corruption. But, the voters are condemning the righteous and uplifting the unrighteous. Isaiah 5:20 “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!”
Hosea 8:7 “They have planted the wind and will harvest the whirlwind. The stalks of grain wither and produce nothing to eat. And even if there is any grain, foreigners will eat it”. And if promoting evil doers to the public offices was not enough, for the next four years we will have a foreigner occupying one of the seven seats at the Council Hall. That’s how it started in the Assembly and before we could wink our eyes we have seven of the eleven seats occupied by foreigners today, without knowing for sure if the four Raizals consider themselves Raizal. Note that those foreigners are collecting revenue that belongs to eight Raizals. BUT, they are also making decisions and designing the guidelines for life on the islands, even though, they know nothing about the islanders’ culture.
We cannot be more, but neither can we be less than what we do. What we put in the basket is what we will take out. We the people changed P&K from good to bad by voting for bribes. If we want to change it back to good, we must change it back by voting. If we are still enamored with the actual lifestyle then there is nothing to change. We are profoundly confused expecting corrupt politicians to change what only conscious voters can change from the dept of our heart.
The church members accuse the pastors without shreds of evidence while they are openly in total disobedience and opposition to the religious principles, and at the same time blindly submersed in the obscurity of a haughty lifestyle.
On the other hand, the voters accuse the politicians of being corrupted while they are demanding to get paid for their vote, knowing that the politicians take all the revenue that belongs to all the people in exchange for the “two cent” they (the voters) received during the campaign. BUT, the crude reality here is that the members of the church and the voters are the same ones, right? You and me! We see the one finger we are pointing at the pastors and the politicians, but we forget that three fingers are pointed toward us.
Maybe the true reason why the people are so hard on the pastors is because the pastors are too soft on the people from the pulpit. Pastors indeed seem to be afraid of the people in the communities and that should not be so. I can agree that most pastors are not attacking sin in the church as they should today, but that is in no way comparable to what is happening in the political and administrative arena. We cannot use our pastors as scapegoats to justify our own foolish sinful behavior.
If this past election doesn’t wake up Raizal People it must be that we are not asleep but dead. God’s People today are better identified as Government People as our society has clearly given up on God and clinging to Government. According to how our society is behaving today we might as well call ourselves ex-Christians, ex-Raizals, ex-Islanders, ex-wise, ex-honest, ex-kind, and so on.
La obra más importante de un gobernante o de cualquier ejecutivo es la escogencia de sus colaboradores, pues de eso depende directamente la eficiencia, la celeridad y la autenticidad del servicio que se va a prestar a la comunidad lo cual determina el éxito de una administración, así que no puede ser malo escoger a los mejores para llevar a cabo la tarea en el caso del Coral Palace, y es igualmente bueno que lo exalten los medios de comunicación en las islas, incluyendo los que yo pensé que eran los más acérrimos enemigos, aunque debo confesar que todo parece indicar que estuve equivocado en ese concepto.
El periódico conservador Caribbean Post, que suponíamos era opositor al gobierno de la Doctora Aury Guerrero Bowie, en su edición 152 de junio 21 página 7A tuvo la valentía de reconocer, no solo el acierto de Guerrero al designar al ex alcalde César Augusto James Bryan en la Secretaría General, sino también exaltó la eficiencia y capacidad del funcionario calificando su desempeño como el de Primer Ministro.
Lo más natural es que los jugadores jueguen mejor que el técnico, es decir: Messi juega mejor que Mourihno y Falcao juega más que Pekerman; también es obvio que haya un capitán de campo; es obvio que haya un líder en el equipo de trabajo como lo hay en los partidos políticos en las bancadas en el congreso y las asambleas; como lo hay en los salones de clase; como lo hay en los gremios de “periodistas”; y como lo hay aun entre las pandillas. Y eso sí, los asesorados deben saber más que los asesorados y cuando uno no cree en eso, simplemente se asesora de su esposo o esposa que significa fracaso.
Sin embargo, sorprendentemente Caribbean Post cuestiona y se lanza en ristre contra la recientemente pasada administración del odontólogo Doctor Pedro Gallardo, al reconocer que su administración fue tan mala que más de 14 mil personas que habrían elegido para un segundo período a la ex gobernadora Susannie Davis, confirmaron que votaron por la educadora Guerrero solo por evitar la vergüenza que hubiera sido elegir a una candidata apoyada por la administración Gallardo, escribiendo textualmente “… que al fin y al cabo no votaron por Aury, sino en contra de Gallardo”. Empero, supongo que debo entender que ese rechazo a Gallardo fue por buen gobernante.
Personalmente, yo me pregunto si estas afirmaciones a favor de la administración actual y esta condena a la gestión del gobernador saliente es la opinión de los propietarios de Caribbean Post; si es que el Partido Liberal tiene infiltrado al periódico; si es que hay una alianza secreta entre el gobierno y la oposición; si es que se busca un acercamiento con la administración Guerrero; o si simplemente es que existen grupos y partidos políticos que aun no se hayan convencido que no se puede esperar que un palo de coco dé mango.
Caribbean Post denigra del gobierno saliente tratando de apropiarse de las obras ejecutadas por el nuevo gobierno desde enero del 2012 hasta hoy como obras de Gallardo en clara demostración de que el periódico no conoce obra alguna con la cual podría promocionar al ex mandatario, o con la clara intención de hacerle quedar mal ante la opinión pública como un gobernador sin obra. A juzgar por estas aseveraciones, a esta hora los propietarios del Caribbean Post deberán estar cuestionando si entre los más de 14 mil electores que votaron en contra de Gallardo figura la planta de personal o al menos aquellos que promovieron con tanta efervescencia la campaña liberal durante las pasadas elecciones a través de su periódico.
Para mí era tan paradójico y confuso ver durante la campaña a la gobernación hace diez meses, cómo Caribbean Post dedicaba al menos el 70 por ciento de sus páginas para hablar de la entonces candidata Guerrero, al punto que lo mencioné en un artículo publicado en el periódico “The Sun” en Octubre del 2012 en este párrafo que reproduzco aquí para refrescar su memoria:
“Aunque lo ideal sería que se revocaran los malos gobiernos, en estas islas el fracaso de los gobiernos se paga en las urnas y esta no será la excepción. Si el partido liberal puede hacer lo suficiente para que haya transparencia en los comicios, la licenciada Aury Guerrero será elegida por el pueblo el próximo 30 de octubre, y eso no lo puede cambiar nadie y mucho menos sus mejores jefes de debate que son el partido de gobierno. Es la primera vez en más de 30 años de ejercer la política que veo a una campaña poner su periódico al servicio de su opositor, dedicando el 70 por ciento de sus páginas a hablar del opositor, olvidando por completo que tienen una candidata y que los lectores están esperando leer algo sobre ella y sus propuestas, si las tiene, porque personalmente no las he visto ni oído hasta el momento”
Lo que sí queda comprobado hoy es que los rumores de que la ex gobernadora Davis solo era un chivo expiatorio para salir del paso y preparar el camino para él o la que viene con todo en el 2015 cobran vigencia, cosa que pudo ser con su consentimiento, toda vez que ella no se ha pronunciado hasta hoy en contra del despliegue publicitario que hizo el Caribbean Post a favor de la campaña de la actual mandataria Aury Guerrero Bowie.
Yo también me uno a las congratulaciones a la gobernadora Guerrero por el acierto en el nombramiento de un funcionario eficiente en su cargo y al acucioso primer ministro, corrijo, secretario general, Doctor César James Bryan por el esmero y la dedicación que tuvo en prepararse adecuadamente en la academia y aprovechar la experiencia ganada durante su paso por los cargos públicos para el ofrecer un servicio satisfactorio a la comunidad guardando fidelidad y lealtad a quien lo haya escogido para llevar a cabo esa misión.
Caribbean Post se refirió a uno solo de los secretarios del Coral Palace, y yo reconozco que hay otros que ejercen a cabalidad su función, sin embargo, la bandera de la administración es “tejer un mundo mejor”, que es un sueño ideal para servir a todos y coronar una buena administración, solo que el equipo completo que rodea a Guerrero en estos momentos no comprende lo que significa “tejer un mundo mejor” y este es un engranaje donde deberán funcionar todas las piezas en máximo rendimiento, lo cual no está ocurriendo seis meses después y para eso la gobernadora deberá estar pensando seriamente en hacer ajustes y mantenimiento donde muy probablemente tendrá que reemplazar algunas piezas.
